Journal Header

Well Graver is sick with a throat infection, so the cooking this year will fall to me.

Be afraid.

Pictures will follow, but if you hear about a fire in the Irish Channel that's probably me.

Hope the Americans in the group have a happy Thanksgiving! And you guys who don't...well...happy Thursday!

Saw the Dark Heresy commission you had done for you and loved it. How does the game play?

It has some problems since they basically took Warhammer Fantasy and tried to shoehorn it into the 40k setting, but with some home brewed modifications from the FFG forums it runs really well! We've been playing it for about two years now with few complications.

I just got my roommate (the GM) Rogue Trader for his birthday and we started playing that this past weekend. They fixed some of the problems with Dark Heresy, but it's still bumpy due to our n00bness :D Both books are totally worth the price!

If you liked the Warhammer commission, check out :icongraver13:, he's been doing commissions for people on the 40k boards and they're really nice.

Yeah I got Dark Heresy and thought it was pretty good. I'll have to look at the Rogue Trader books at some point.

Did you see they made a new edition of WFRP and it looks like 12 layers of horrible.

NO! They did???

Well hell, the system worked pretty well for that setting.

Now I'm curious....

Rogue Trader is shaping up to be good, but I really cant wait for the Dark Heresy supplements to come out (particularly Ascension). If they'd just stop pushing the release dates back.

I know what you mean, worst part is they could've done another half a dozen books for WFRP.

I love your colors! And mixing markers with watercolor is interesting. I've never been able to figure out how to do it.

The key is to work in layers and let each layer dry before adding another, I think. Watercolour is much more transparent and less predictable than alcohol-based markers, so you can get interesting effects :3

:iconstarchasm:
Ooo I'll have to try that. I bet it would work better if I had smoother watercolor paper...

Smooth paper is the best :3 And it should be thick too so it doesn't buckle.
